Implementing Generative Artificial Intelligence across Different Subjects in School from Teaching and Learning Perspectives
Future Learning Theatre
Overview
This seminar will explore the application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) in upper elementary school curricula, focusing on its effects on enhancing student motivation and creativity. This school's practical cases in General Studies and Language Arts demonstrate that using GAI technologies like CHATGPT and DALL-E can effectively stimulate student interest and improve teaching quality.
Through comprehensive teacher training and promotion strategies, we ensured the effective application of GAI technology, achieving significant educational outcomes. From teaching experiments in General Studies and English courses, GAI technology has reduced learning disparities and significantly increased student motivation and creativity. When designing scientific projects, GAI enables students to quickly gain design inspiration through language input, enriching their knowledge. This learning method has enhanced students' creative performance and motivation. In writing, teachers observed that students' work was well-structured and content-rich, with overall quality noticeably improved. Additionally, school-based teacher training facilitated the application of GAI technology, enhancing teaching quality and efficiency.
Participants of this seminar will:
1. enhance understanding the Potential of GAI Technology in Education: Participants will learn how to effectively utilise GAI technology to enhance student motivation and creativity, gaining specific practical methods;
2. understand teacher Training and Promotion Strategies: Participants will learn how to design and implement teacher training programmes to ensure the smooth promotion and application of GAI technology within their schools; and
3. learn from Practical Cases: Through specific teaching cases, participants will gain inspiration and be able to apply these successful experiences to their own teaching practices.
