Overview

This seminar will share experiences in using body composition analysers and generative AI tools for health analysis, requiring students to verify AI recommendations to cultivate critical thinking skills. The speaker will introduce the applications of body composition analysers and generative AI tools in providing health advice, present specific case studies, and explain how these technological tools can enhance students' information literacy.

The seminar will also explore how verifying AI recommendations can help develop students' critical thinking abilities, followed by group discussions on strategies for effectively integrating STEAM elements into teaching. The speaker hopes these insights will assist other educators in promoting students' overall skill development. 

Through the STEAM education programme implemented at the speaker’s school, students have learned to use body composition analysers and generative AI tools for health analysis, and to cultivate critical thinking skills by verifying AI recommendations. These practices have not only enhanced students' information literacy but also enabled them to make more informed health decisions in their daily lives. Specific outcomes include students' accurate understanding of body data, effective use of AI technology to generate health advice, and significantly improved ability to discern truth from falsehood in an environment inundated with online information.
