Overview

In this seminar, the speaker will introduce Interdisciplinary Thematic Learning (ITL) function, the Design of Interdisciplinary Thematic Learning (ITL) and some examples of Interdisciplinary Thematic Learning (ITL) .

Interdisciplinary knowledge is essential for understanding and solving complicated problems. Interdisciplinary Thematic Learning (ITL) is to train students to acquire interdisciplinary knowledge through real situations, real problems, real projects, real tasks, real roles, real results, etc.

This study focuses on clarifying the fundamental principles of ITL and so as to provide methods for applying ITL in teaching. It is helpful for students to learn and master scientific principles in subject classes, find technical means to solve problems through the fuse of disciplines, and cultivate innovation and creativity through the practical application of scientific principles. The study also emphasises building the communication path between disciplinary teaching and ITL, in order to help students to form a stereoscopic knowledge system and gain the systematic thinking skill in solving problems.
