Creative Writing Classes through Reading and Writing
Future Learning Theatre
Overview
Reading and writing are inseparably interdependent. However, if transferral and transformation cannot be done in teaching, students will only complete the two skills separately, instead of extracting literary ideas from reading and then applying them in writing. Through two open classes, students analysed reading in different ways and accurately transformed it into appropriate writing skills. This time, the speaker hopes to summarise the above classes in the form of a seminar, and use the example of the 'OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARD' guidance package obtained at the Hong Kong Association of the Heads of Secondary Schools to explore the skills of reading and writing.
Through teaching activities, students can enjoy the fun of reading and writing. When reading, they can accurately grasp the focus of the text, and when writing, they can also use what they have learned in the past, killing two birds with one stone.
