Overview

This school has been pioneering immersive classrooms and enhancing immersive learning experiences for two years. This seminar will showcase how the school optimally utilises the 'VR Infinity Cube' immersive classroom to integrate the core subjects of Chinese, English, Mathematics, and General Studies, along with Music, Physical Education, and Arts. This integration is aimed at crafting immersive learning experiences that not only heighten student interest but also augment the efficacy of both teaching and learning processes.

By employing collaborative teamwork, the school creates activities that align with the seven learning goals of primary education, encompassing areas such as values education, reading promotion, sports and health, and parent-child engagements. Additionally, the seminar will provide insights into how the school judiciously allocates funding to continuously advance the immersive learning experience programme, focusing on both hardware and software enhancements. In terms of student learning, the speaker has observed a significant boost in student motivation and classroom engagement, with students thoroughly enjoying the dynamic learning environment. From a teaching perspective, immersive classrooms have substantially improved learning outcomes. In resource management, the school has established a comprehensive resource database for immersive teaching across various subjects, ensuring efficient management and sustainability. For parental engagement, these initiatives have fostered better communication and deepened relationships between parents and children. Furthermore, the immersive classrooms, combined with holistic learning experience activities, have distinctly enhanced the school's vibrant image. 

Participants of this seminar will understand:
1. refining Immersive Learning Design and Implementation for Hardware (Classrooms) and Software (Curriculum): By presenting specific cases of the school-based curriculum, the speaker aims to showcase the school’s teaching resource management system. This will provide attendees with practical insights that can be adapted to develop immersive teaching curricula in their own settings;
2. tailoring Immersive Courses for Specific School/Student Needs: the speaker encourages participants to consider their unique school environments and student demographics. By adopting the speaker’s school curriculum design principles and methodologies, they can create more targeted and effective immersive courses that adhere closely to the primary educational goals;
3. enhancing Teacher Professional Development: Through the use of 360-degree video technology in both hardware and software applications, the speaker aims to equip attendees with essential skills and knowledge. This seminar will empower them to devise and implement school-specific curricula more effectively.
