Overview
This collaborative project brings together students, the disability community, and experts to co-design accessible urban solutions. Through interactive learning, students gain insights into the challenges faced by people with disabilities and collaborate on Minecraft-based designs and AI-assisted product concepts. This multifaceted approach fosters inclusiveness, sustainability, and digital literacy, preparing students for the future development of smart cities.
The programme exemplified the value of cross-disciplinary collaboration, involving students, school, local community, and experts from different fields (urban planning, accessibility, horticulture, etc.).
By combining diverse perspectives and expertise, the programme was able to develop innovative and comprehensive solutions to address the challenges faced by people with disabilities in the urban environment.
This collaborative approach fostered students' understanding of the complexity of real-world issues and the need for interdisciplinary teamwork to tackle them effectively.
